On this indoor magnet dressed in a popular red and white Santa hat and matching silk bow tie is Ricky.  However, Ricky was not always this stylish and privileged. Ricky grew up on the streets, beaten and tortured by the neighborhood kids he was rescued by Patricia. A loved member of Magnets.com customer service team, and cat lover.  One meow from Ricky Patty knew he was here to stay and immediately had to get medicine for the allergies. Steve Richert got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in high school.  At the same time he was diagnosed he learnt about climbing in a unit in PE.  He knew instantly that climbing would be part of his life, but what he didn’t know then, was that his diagnosis would influence his motive to climb.

Originally motivated by inspiring those with a chronic illness to use outdoor fitness to manage their health, Steve and his wife have reached far beyond that and are reaching out to all youth to get active and be responsible for their health and well being.  They will be sharing their experience by filming a documentary of their adventures.
