Remember when you were a kid at school and there was always someone in class who made you laugh?  All the time? That person to a tee is Andreas, the company’s design manager. A part of the company since 2007, Andreas’ fun and outgoing personality certainly adds to the fun environment! 

After two years of hard work and success as a junior designer he moved his way up to design manager -upward mobility is certainly one of the great perks here at Magnets.com. Read on to learn more about Andreas and his contributions to the company. 

Q:  Aside from you making people laugh, what are your favorite hobbies?

A:  I am learning how to play the guitar and I love it! I’ve always wanted to try it as a kid and never got around to it. It’s never too late to learn and I am happy that I decided to give it a try. I also love to go fishing and boating with my dad when the New Jersey weather permits.

Q:  What would you say is your favorite aspect of design?

A:  I am a logo fanatic! In fact, if I had a dog, I would probably name him Logo. I enjoy working with customers who are trying to create a logo for their business as it’s something that embodies a business’s culture, philosophy, and way of doing business.  

Q:  Do you have any favorite artists who inspire you?

A:  My favorite artists are Ron English and Ralph Steadman. I like how Ron English tackles the political incorrectness of the American culture. Great insight. Ralph Steadman is a genius in creating illustrations that perfectly coincide with the madness displayed in Hunter S. Thompson’s stories. I especially enjoy the packaging and label artwork that he designed for the Flying Dog Brewery.

Q:  Since you’re such a movie fanatic, what’s your favorite movie and why?

A:  Pee Wee’s Big Adventure has been my favorite movie since I was little. As I got older, I began to appreciate the creativity that went into the story. Best of all, every time I watch it, it sort of makes me feel like a kid again.
